Single mother April Parker has lived in Willow Creek for eighteen years. As her children move out, April thinks it's time for a change and asks for help to sell the house. Mitch Malone, a local heart-throb, agrees to help, on one condition: she'll pretend to be his girlfriend at a family dinner. April agrees and after the dinner, they part ways. As summer begins and Mitch's family shows up unexpectedly, April pretends to be Mitch's girlfriend again. Despite their obvious connection, April insists there's nothing between them. April must figure out what she really wants before she loses the love of her life.
